Both Sides of the Rainbow
Homophobia exists all around the world and impacts on us all. Although the levels of tolerance are growing rapidly in the West, most of the world is still struggling to understand and accept homosexuality. I believe homophobia is not talked about enough, especially in countries that violate human rights or go as far as to criminalize same-sex relationships. In hopes for a change, my final major project aims to raise awareness of homophobia and lack of tolerance towards LGBT rights around the world. Both Sides of the Rainbow provides an insight into lives of gay people who have come from homophobic backgrounds, and primarily captures different levels of tolerance in two diverse national and cultural environments- Lithuania and the UK.
