Gaining Corporate Funding Within The Charity Sector
Working with small international development charity Partners For Change Ethiopia, I took on the role as a Corporate Fundraising Intern. My client presented me with two problems: firstly lack of corporate support and secondly a succinct and lighthearted piece of marketing, that expresses the charities message and explains the work they do. This, my client felt, was holding the organisation back from achieving its potential. In order to combat these problems, I have created a campaign video and marketing strategy. The popular Youtube tag ‘Draw My Life’ inspired the film and the story was informed by action research and with the help of professionals within the sector. Gaining over 300 Youtube views and praised highly by industry professionals and the general public alike, the finished film is the culmination of several months’ worth of independent research and planning. My hope is that it will succeed in making a difference to this incredible organisation.
